How great it is when we find a new and exciting cafe such as the Magnolia Tree. New to us but not to Winton it seems with a reputation of ten years as a cafe and three years under the management and ownership of Kirsten & James Watson.
An absolutely beautiful setting matched with great service and an understanding on how to make a good cup of coffee. No hesitation when we asked for two double shot flat whites in tulip cups.
The food looked delicious and we are sorry we didn't have a go but it was a little too soon after breakfast. Maybe next time! 
Wonderful way to stary the day and a week after a weekend at the Hokinui Whiskey Festival in Gore.

Thank you for your kind words on your web page.  We are glad you enjoyed your experience at our cafe.  

The Magnolia Tree uses Hummingbird coffee it is roasted and delivered fresh twice weekly.  

We are open from 10.30 am for lunch everyday and dinner six nights (not Mondays, unless by appointment).  The Cafe is an old restored 1900's villa and is  situated on the main highway from Invercargill to Queenstown.  We have inside seating for 50 and outside under the Magnolia Tree (over 100 years old) in our rose garden for a further 40.

Katie is our restaurant manager and the cafe is owned by our two chefs. Kirsten and James.
