Coffee Roast used: Gravity 



Review: We have been visiting Kaikoura for a great number of years several times each year. In our checking most of the cafes we have found that we could not give a top review on any of them. 
One problem is no consistency, another staff attitude and the worst one bad coffee and some at very high prices. 
We finally found the one and only cafe we can truly say does the roast and the town proud. The Beach House is highly recommended on all counts, coffee, barista, staff and we love the many rooms and the outside verandah where one can enjoy their first coffee of the day or the second for that matter.

Thank you for your awesome rave report, certainly made Wayne & I stand a few inches taller!!

We have been in the Beach House for just over a year now, returning home to Kaikoura after being away for 17!  It certainly a different town to what we grew up in.  It's exciting with many opportunities and for us the main draw 
was our parents.

I'm not sure what info you were hoping for so I'll just waffle on & you can pick & choose the relevant info you want for your Coffee Guide.

Our opening times are 9 - 4pm 7 days at this stage, later on we may consider closing for 1 or 2 days/week.

We have a cabinet food & a blackboard menu available breakfast & brunch.  
Seafood Chowder is a favourite as are our Bacon Creamy Mushroom with Blue Vein Panini.  Muffins are baked each morning and all our slices are baked on premise. 

 We have a ranch of artwork by locals exhibited regularly currently we have some amazing prints & orginals of Rio Rossellini up she specializes in pointulism.  Amazing just hours and hours of work goes into each piece.

PS  When you're up in the Hawkes Bay next call in to Sappho & Heath Cafe Napier 222 Emerson Street.  That's our 1st cafe where we cut our teeth on this awesome coffee industry, our daughter Alisha is managing it & they'll look after you up there! No doubt.
