We didn't believe it when we were told of a top cafe in the Frankton Industrial Park but after droping by one Sunday morning we found a cafe with absolutely top quality staff, ambience, coffee (Bean Around the World) and one of the best outlooks over the Shotover River we have seen in
Queenstown or anywhere for that matter.
Can only give them 11/10 on al counts.........Primo!

Really hope you enjoyed your experience at GRIND.
I have been open now for just over 8 months and am rapt by the response from customers so far.I really felt there was a gap in the market for Queenstown locals (and travellers of course!) for a quality cafe out of town with ample parking, greatcoffee, and a diverse and evolving cafe menu.
The view helps too...
'twas once a little local hideaway until momentum picked up a few months ago,and we have been grateful enough to have visitors from as far as Dunedin and Auckland. We have some good friends at Queenstown Airport. :)
Our philosophy from the start has been to provide great coffee and fresh,homemade food (cabinet items as well as a full breakfast, lunch and pizza menu)with honesty and a genuine smile. It's a little like that show Cheers some
times!

We are open from 7.30am to 4pm Mon to Thursday, 7.30am to late on a Friday (For Pizza Menu & Drinks - we are licenced to Midnight 7days) and from 8.30am to 4pm
Saturdays. We also host local live DJ acts every saturday or sunday afternoon during the summer, with a variety of music spectrums from drum & base, house and dub.

Our beans are locally roasted by local award winning roaster Bean Around The World so we can gaurantee the freshest roasted beans daily.Though our approach with service is quite casual, our coffee training and
cusotmer service systems are tight, which allows for a consistent expereience for our guests.

Our baristas are put through an extensive on-site training process with each person spending up to 3 / 4 weeks making and refining before they send out their first cup. I also encourage honest feedback from my customers who 9 times
out of ten will let us know what they think. My chief barista (and manager) Joe, has over 10 years experience, both in NewZealand and also in Melbourne where he refined his skills in a number ofestablishments. His knowledge and skills in the art are priceless and are a constant source of learning for me.
