Finding this outstanding cafe/restaurant in our early adventures into traveling the South Island it has become one of our most trusted stops for coffee.

We actually go out of our way to get to this cafe in Alexandra. Coffee is done to perfection and the food is on the same level.

Considered one of the top cafes we get a chance to visit in our travels throughout New Zealand.

In our last visit we got the news Tom must sell as they were about to have their first baby and wanted to return to Ireland for the event.

When we just stopped he told us they didn't have to sell as his sister, Catherine, was taking it over. Great news and lots of luck to her. May she keep up the good work and enjoy the cafe.

The Courthouse Café in Alexandra bakes and makes each day – fresh cakes, muffins, slices, salads and a delicious lunch selection is made by a talented team of girls. Local seasonal produce is included in the menu, and a new line “The Courthouse Pantry” offers the best selection of Central Otago gourmet jams, dips and spreads. The range of pantry items will be continually extended to ensure visitors can purchase the best of produce manufactured in the region. Came back and experience our ever changing menu.
